Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Robert McKrill Inc. ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Heim-Alarm-Pilotprojekt SMS notification service (the "Service"). The Service is an internal notification system used only to send automated alerts to members of our household and staff who have consented to receive them.
Information we collect
- Name and mobile phone number of each enrolled recipient.
- Consent records: the date, time, and method by which a recipient opted in or out.
- Message records: the content, time, and delivery status of messages sent to and received from recipients, including replies such as STOP and HELP.
How we use information
We use this information only to:
- send the system notifications and alerts recipients have agreed to receive;
- process opt-out (STOP) and help (HELP) requests;
- maintain records of consent and troubleshoot message delivery.
We do not use this information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to the Service.
Sharing of information
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or any personal information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except with the service providers described below solely to operate the Service.
We use Twilio Inc. as our messaging provider to deliver text messages. Twilio processes phone numbers and message content only as needed to transmit messages on our behalf, under its own privacy and security commitments. Mobile carriers also process this information to deliver messages.
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process.
Data retention and security
We keep recipient information only as long as the recipient is enrolled, plus a reasonable period afterward to retain consent and opt-out records. Message logs are retained only as long as useful for troubleshooting. Information is stored on systems we control or on our service providers' systems and is protected by reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access limited to authorized administrators.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving messages. You will receive one final confirmation message.
- Reply HELP for assistance.
- To ask what information we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email rob@nc8o.net.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly enroll children under 13. A minor in our household may be enrolled only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
